Little Read: Polonius the Pit Pony

Saturday 25 February, 11.00am to 12.00pm

Join writer Christina Castling for an interactive, free family reading workshop, exploring the themes of Durham Book Festival's gorgeous Little Read, 'Polonius the Pit Pony' by Richard O'Neill, illustrated by Feronia Parker-Thomas.

When Polonius the Pit Pony escapes from the coal mine he's worked in all his life, he joins a family of Travellers. Although he enjoys the freedom and the fresh air that their lifestyle offers, he wishes he could give something to the family in return. When the chance arrives for him to do something to help, Polonius uses his skills to save the day.

This fun, free, and interactive session is aimed at children aged between 4 and 9, and their parent or carer. Drop-in on the day or reserve your place in person at Bishop Auckland library.

This workshop is supported by the Bishop Line and the Community Rail Partnership.
