Coxhoe Park


Coxhoe Park is a small urban park in the village of Coxhoe. The park is easily accessible with a good network of footpaths and seats to help enjoy the area.

Coxhoe Skate park


We have worked with the local community group, Coxhoe Community Partnership, to develop the park. The community partnership has provided support by fundraising, obtaining grants and support from local businesses, but we largely maintain the park.

Park facilities

The park has a range of facilities including:

  • BMX/skate zone
  • cycling proficiency area
  • tennis/basketball court
  • games area
  • football field
  • children's play area
  • sensory garden
  • wildlife pond 
  • Willow Wisp conservation area

There are also areas for informal play and organised events such as school holiday activities and village carnivals/fairs. The football field is regularly hired by local football teams.

Coxhoe village lies five miles south of Durham City on the crossroads of the A177 and B6291 near to Junction 61 of the A1M motorway.
