How to vote

You must register to vote before you can vote in our elections or referendums.
After you've registered, your name and address will appear on the electoral register - you only need to register once. Contact us to check whether you are on the electoral register.
Ways to vote
Once you're registered, you can:

- Apply to vote by post
- Apply to vote by proxy (a proxy is someone who votes on your behalf)
