Local Sport and Physical Activity Awards

The County Durham Sport and Physical Activity Awards celebrate unsung sports stars, coaches, clubs and schools.

The public were invited to nominate individuals and groups across a range of categories, including Coach of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Sports Club of the Year and Sporting Achievement of the Year.

An independent selection panel then picked award winners across four geographic areas, with nominees invited to attend celebration evenings, and the winners going on to compete for the county-wide awards.
