About Spennymoor Leisure Centre
Spennymoor Leisure Centre is home to the only wave and slide swimming pool in County Durham and also boasts a state of the art gym, studio, sports hall, multi-sensory room and gymnastics centre. A new café, soft play facility and interactive water features in the pool are also planned for the centre.
Spennymoor Library is also located within the leisure centre.
Gym
Whether you’re new to fitness or a regular user, the gym at Spennymoor offers a variety of equipment including cardio, strength and free weights. The site also has Tanita body scales which can help you track ten different measurements, like muscle mass, to support your fitness journey. Our friendly team are also on hand to offer advice and motivation to help you reach your goals.

Exercise classes

Swimming
Please note Spennymoor leisure centre is temporarily closed for refurbishment works.
Home to Durham’s only leisure pool, the slide, waves and interactive water toys will keep everyone entertained. But if you’re looking to improve your fitness through swimming, splash about with your toddler or take part in a water based fitness class you can still do all this at the centre as well.

Multi-sensory room
Tranquil, relaxing yet still visually stimulating, the multi-sensory room at Spennymoor offers an immersive experience which develops the senses. With a hoist providing access to all areas, the space is accessible to all. The centre also has a Changing Places facility.
