Adult learning courses

During lockdown in England, your safety and that of our staff and the local community is extremely important to us and we are taking steps to protect the health and safety of everyone concerned.

Our adult education courses will continue to be delivered remotely and we will gradually return to face to face delivery after Easter and will keep all learners updated with any changes.  Some of our provision for vulnerable learners is already taking place face to face in line with Government guidelines. Our position with regards how courses are delivered over the coming months will develop as government advice is updated and lockdown eases. For new enquiries, please contact us for up to date information.

If you have any specific support requests, regarding access to resources or equipment please can you contact your tutor for support directly, or contact us at alss@durham.gov.uk

Please note that it is still important that you notify your tutor if you are going to be absent from any planned classes, so that absences can be recorded accurately. If you do test positive for COVID-19, it is important that you report this to the NHS Test and Trace service and to your tutor, to help support us support you and other learners accordingly.

Please see the National Lockdown Guidance and Key worker Guidance for further information.

We will be keeping the situation under review and notify you of any further changes to the service, in the meantime, your tutor will be able to support you with any queries and will be in touch to provide more specific information.
