The Prime Minister has announced a delay in the easing of Covid-19 restrictions.

Free parking after 2.00pm in Durham County Council on street and off street car parks across the county from 1 April 2021 - no ticket needed.
Offer excludes car parks at Hardwick Park in Sedgefield, Wharton Park Durham, or Riverside Park in Chester-le-Street (consisting of South Ropery Lane, North Ropery Lane and the Donald Owen Clark car parks).

There are a number of electric vehicle charging points provided by Durham County Council located across the County.

Who can use these charging points

These recharging points are available for use by people with Charge Your Car membership and access card or mobile app. If you do not have membership with Charge Your Car, the electric vehicle charging posts may still be able to be accessed, please contact Charge Your Car for more information.

Other charging points are available in the county that are not owned nor managed by Durham County Council. You can view the locations of these on the Charge your Car website.
