The Prime Minister has today set out the next steps in the easing of lockdown. See the press conference at Youtube: Prime Minister's Coronavirus press conference (10 May 2021) for details.

Between 4.00pm on Wednesday 12 May and 7.30am on Thursday 13 May, the following systems will be unavailable due to essential maintenance: our online council tax, business rates and housing benefit overpayments service, our welfare assistance form and our test and trace payments form. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Sherburn Park

Sherburn Park is a small urban park off Front Street in Sherburn Village. All areas are accessible with a good network of footpaths.

Sherburn Park Play Area
virus

From 29 March, government guidance allows you to meet outdoors, in our parks, in groups of six or two households. This is in addition to outdoor exercise, which is already permitted.

You should continue to stay local wherever possible, but you can travel a short distance within your area if necessary. Remember you still need to socially distance within your group of six or two households.

The park is largely maintained by us and continues to be developed by local community group, Sherburn OAK (Outdoor Action for Kids) in consultation with park users and us.

Facilities

Bowling green with bowls pavilion, play and outdoor gym equipment for all ages, games area, two football fields (full and junior sized) and a grassed area for informal play. A conservation/wildlife area continues to develop at the park.

The football fields are also used for recreation purposes and events such as organised football matches and school holiday activities. The bowling green is used by Sherburn Village Bowls Club.
