The Chairman of Durham County Council for 2019/20 is Cllr Katie Corrigan who represents the Belmont division.

She is also The Right Worshipful, The Mayor of Durham for 2019/20.

She was elected to Durham County Council in 2013 and also served on Belmont Parish Council from 2013 to 2017.

Her hobbies include drama, music, and running.
