Engagement and training

Consultation and Engagement Training plays a key part in supporting our corporate approach. It is designed and delivered by the Partnership and Community Engagement Service.

Our role is to develop and embed a co-ordinated and consistent approach to consultation and engagement through comprehensive training and performance improvement, across the council.

We have a number of training sessions available to our staff and Area Action Partnership (AAP) members. We also extend some of our training to external organisations, where appropriate. We also have a training directory, which is specifically for new AAP Board Members as part of their induction programme.

As part of our Community Building Strategy a wide range of support has been developed and made available to Community Building Management Groups and volunteers, including those going through Asset Transfer. This includes support from a dedicated team as well as our partners and includes training, mentoring and events.

If you require any further information about the training sessions that we offer, please contact us.
