Our gyms


Whatever your fitness level, or your goals, in our gyms you can exercise in a way that best suits you. Our gym staff will develop you a training programme and, with ongoing support, we'll help you achieve your fitness goals.

Our gyms offer a range of cardiovascular and resistance equipment in a friendly and spacious environment, designed to help you on your fitness journey. Whether you are just starting or setting yourself a new fitness goal, our friendly staff are here to help and support you with personalised programmes and ongoing support.  

Our gym memberships will provide you with a range of activities to suite all abilities and help keep you motivated, such as free swimming and Exercise classes. Plus, we also run gym challenges, offering additional motivation by encouraging you to achieve something new during your workouts.

We have 14 gyms based in our leisure centres:

Gym memberships

Try our leisure centres for free with a three day complimentary pass. Simply call or visit your local leisure centre and ask for your free three day pass. 

Whether you prefer a workout in the gym, an exercise class or a dip in the pool our three day pass can help you find an activity that suits you. 

We offer a range of Gym memberships to suit your workout needs. 

Memberships include: 

  • an induction and personal ' My Fitness Plan'
  • free exercise classes across all of our leisure centres
  • free swimming in all of our leisure centres
  • free use of our Tanita body composition scales to help monitor your progress
  • free sauna and steam (where available)

Your fitness journey

We are here to support all our members work towards achieving their own personal goals and aim to make them feel comfortable and confident in the gym with our simple appointment process.

If you plan to come to the gym and/or take part in other activities more than once a week, you can likely save money with a great value membership.

Initial appointment

Perfect if you are new to the gym or have been a gym member before. A member of our team will spend up to 60 minutes with you talking about your personal goals and familiarising you with the gym equipment and layout along with the key areas of the centre you are most interested in.

All new members must undertake an initial appointment, prior to using the gym. We may suggest a follow up appointment within a week or two, so we can be sure you are comfortable and confident using the facilities, although staff are always on hand to help should you need assistance.

My Fitness Plan

Our qualified instructors can design a personal 'My Fitness Plan' specifically for you, according to your health and fitness needs, personal goals and lifestyle, as we know not everyone can spend hours in the gym.

My Fitness Plan review

After a few weeks attending the gym, we will book you in for a fitness plan review. Here, we will assess your progress, make any adjustments to the plan and make sure you are on the way to achieving your goals. We will discuss timescales for your future 'My Fitness Plan' reviews and aim to arrange them every six to twelve weeks.

Tanita body composition technology

Tanita body scales use advanced technology to add another level to your workout. Tanita technology is available in our leisure centres and can help you track over 10 different measurements to support your fitness journey and give you a much better picture of your health. Don't forget to download the Mywellness app to track your progress or ask a member of our gym staff for help.
