Kathryn's Story
Kathryn lives in Spennymoor with her husband and two children who are autistic. She is a stay-at-home parent and a carer for her two children. She first heard about the walk, cycle and run sessions via Facebook. She knew she enjoyed walking, so thought 'why not give it a try'?

Kathryn
During lockdown Kathryn wanted to keep her physical and mental health and wellbeing up, so she started to do the PE with Joe sessions on YouTube with her oldest child. She's carried on doing more fitness videos from The Body Coach since lockdown too! (see YouTube: The Body Coach).
Kathryn says: 'I would highly recommend taking part in the walking and running groups. It will help you get out of the house, and it can also be a good way of meeting new people especially if you are new to the area. Exercise is a great way to improve not just your physical health but also your mental health. They don't cost you anything either. Taking that first step is probably the hardest but once you do that, it gets easier.'
