Our aqua classes
Our aqua classes are pool-based classes, using the resistance of the water and aerobic style moves. This is a great way to work out in a fun environment, while removing any impact on the joints. It is especially good for injury rehabilitation.
These classes are available at our pools across the county - visit our leisure system to book a class or activity online or to find out the latest timetable information. Examples of classes are:

Aqua class details
Using a base in the pool gain flexibility, stability and strength, low impact, cross training class.
A underwater spin on a traditional cycling class, Aquacycle involves peddling against the resistance of the water, while the buoyancy reduces the impact on participants' muscles and joints.
This class adapts land-based mixed martial arts and boxing exercises, drills and routines into a water-based routine that gets the heart pumping.
Experience all the benefits of an aerobics class but in the water. Water adds support and resistance to your body and our instructors will make sure this resistance is maximised to increase the intensity of your workout. If you thought a water workout was easy, then think again.
A trampoline underwater? Yes! Have fun and get bouncing in the pool to the rhythm of catchy music in this alternate class that makes trampolining
Aqua natal is a wonderful form of safe exercise during and after pregnancy. A fun and sociable way to enjoy mummy time in the pool. Aquatone A toning water based class, enjoy the fusion of music, water and toning exercises to make you feel refreshed and ready for the day.
Splash your way into shape with an invigorating low-impact aquatic exercise. Known as the Zumba® "pool party", Aqua Zumba gives new meaning to the idea of a refreshing workout. Integrating the Zumba philosophy with traditional aquatic fitness disciplines, Aqua Zumba® blends it all together into a workout that's cardio-conditioning, bodytoning and most of all, exhilarating beyond belief.
This is a great class for those new or returning to exercise. Exercising in water provides you with the support you need when you are looking for a class that is a little lower in intensity. This class will help improve your health, fitness and mobility no matter what your ability level. Our fun and friendly instructors will work with you to make sure your individual needs are met.
