The Prime Minister has today set out the next steps in the easing of lockdown. See the press conference at Youtube: Prime Minister's Coronavirus press conference (10 May 2021) for details.

Between 4.00pm on Wednesday 12 May and 7.30am on Thursday 13 May, the following systems will be unavailable due to essential maintenance: our online council tax, business rates and housing benefit overpayments service, our welfare assistance form and our test and trace payments form. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

We continue to be here to support care leavers and there will always be someone you can contact to offer advice, help and support on 03000 262 271.

Learning to drive for care leavers

Learning to drive is a great way of becoming independent. We can give you support to help you do this including money towards your driving lessons and tests.

Through the Drive Project you can get up to £500 towards your driving lessons, theory and practical tests.

It's limited to 15 people per year, but if it's full you can be added to the waiting list.

CBT motorcyle training is also included in the scheme.

Do I qualify?

To access the project, you must be 17 to 21 years old (or 25 if you are still in full-time education) and it must be part of your pathway plan.
