What is Community Led Local Development (CLLD) funding?


Community Led Local Development (CLLD) is a new way of supporting local development projects using structural funds from Europe.

Community Led Local Development (CLLD) is a new way of supporting local development projects using structural funds from Europe.

It aims to increase employment and skills and social enterprise and ensures that local people are involved in developing projects, using resources in the area to address local challenges. This will be available in County Durham until 31 December 2021.

CLLD is delivered through 2 Local Action Groups (LAGs) across Durham with each funding the activity in their area to achieve the objectives of the Local Development Strategy.  To learn more about a specific CLLD area and the objectives of each programme you can visit and to download a copy of the Local Development Strategy see the following:
