Does the Record Office provide a research service?

The Durham Archives Research Service carries out research using the records and reference books available in the Durham County Record Office. It is intended to help people who want information from the Record Office but who cannot visit the Office and also those may have used the Office but have run out of time to continue their research. If you require any research please complete the search application form. You will find further information about the research service on our website.

The Record Office does not maintain a list of independent researchers. You will find a list of researchers on the website of The Association of Genealogists and Researchers in Archives.
