GAMP priorities 2016/2017

We held our winter forum event on 25 November 2015, and attendees were given the opportunity to vote on their top priorities for GAMP to focus on in 2016/17.

The top three priorities identified were:

  • activities for young people
  • crime and community safety
  • employment, enterprise, education and training

At the board meeting in January 2016 it was agreed to adopt the top three priorities voted by forum members, as above, which will be effective from 1 April 2016.

Tackling these priorities

To help us address these, task and finish groups have been formed, with representation from a wide range of services including:

  • Police, Fire and Health Services
  • Great Aycliffe Town Council
  • Durham County Council services
  • GAMP board and forum members

The groups will meet regularly to discuss local issues around the priorities and help implement projects within the area. If you have ideas for projects which relate to the three key priorities outlined above, we would like to hear from you.
