Looking for work can be difficult especially if you have been out of the jobs market for a while. Our one to one support is tailored to suit your needs and will help you develop the skills needed to stand out in the jobs market, and is funded with support from the local Area Action Partnerships, the project provides one to one help and support for unemployed residents in the following areas:

  • Bishop Auckland
  • Crook
  • Shildon
  • Teesdale
  • Tow Law
  • Weardale
  • Willington
  • Lanchester
  • Castleside
  • Esh Winning
  • Ushaw Moor
  • Langley Moor
  • Meadowfield
  • Brandon

What help is available?

A dedicated mentor will work with you to help you find a new job. The help and support they provide will be based entirely on your individual circumstances and what you need. This can include:

  • CV writing
  • Preparing for interviews
  • Applying for funding for training courses
  • Using links with local employers to find jobs
  • Advice on setting up your own business and how to get funding
  • Working with partners to provide you with extra help and support

They'll also continue to support you once you've got your new job or started your business to help you settle in and make sure you're on the way to success.
