Proposed Traffic Signal - Pickering Nook

In order to assist public transport services and general traffic emerging from the B6173, Clough Dene Road and the C124 Syke Road at peak times, it is proposed to introduce Traffic Signals at this particular junction.

As part of the works some road widening will take place on the northwest side of the A692 in order to accomodate the pedestrian crossing island, in addition to this a widened left turn lane will also be provided for traffic on Syke Road. The works will also include the provision of signal controlled pedestrian crossing facilities requiring the provision of new stretches of footway.
