Access and Inclusion Services
Access and Inclusion Services aim to ensure access to appropriate education at school or alternative educational provisions, for all children including those who are hard to place and ensuring that none go missing from education. This includes:
The Head of Service has lead responsibility for Equality and Diversity across Children and Young People’s Services
- All decision making regarding the placement of pupils in schools and alternative educational provisions and deciding who is eligible for free home to school transport.
- LA strategy and support and challenge for school improvement in:
- Meeting special educational needs.
- Improving behaviour and attendance.
- Improving the attainment of vulnerable groups including Looked After Children.
- Learning support and provision for vulnerable groups.
