We offer hundreds of curriculum subject boxes for different age and ability levels, containing a great range of books, artefacts and other resources. They are all updated by our staff every term to ensure you get the best of what's available. You can order online, by phone, email, fax or post.

Artefacts and Pictures
We have hundreds of original and replica handling objects and works of art that you can borrow in addition to, or instead of, the collections. They'll bring a subject to life. You can browse and order them online at DLR Online or you can call us if there's something special you need.
Leisure Reading Collections
This fabulous range of books for home and quiet reading - both fiction and non-fiction - is guaranteed to engage children of all ages and abilities.
Teachers' Library
Our new library has a fantastic range of fiction, non-fiction and literacy books and a selection of artefacts too. If you want to choose your own resources make an appointment to come and visit our new teachers' library to browse and borrow in comfort.
Specialist Teachers' Bookshop - Mainly Books
There's a great selection of books in our bookshop, all at 15% discount and with free delivery. Make an appointment to visit us to choose your own books, or ask us to make a selection for you within a set budget, or just order specific books.
Delivery
We deliver everything to you free of charge...and collect it again when you've finished with it!
Professional Advice and Training
We can provide help for you on the organisation and use of your school library, run training courses and offer a student librarian training scheme.
We can make links to a range of our local partners, including local libraries, museums and the County Record Office. We can devise joint projects with you based on the Northern Children's Book Festival, Cultural Hubs, the national Summer Reading Challenge and other initiatives.
We can also give you information about authors, artists and performers who work in schools.
