Index of Deprivation 2007
In terms of the structure of the Index and the 38 data streams used, very little has changed since the last the last update in 2004. This means that it is now possible to assess relative changes in local conditions over the time period 2002 – 2005.
The results for County Durham are given in the Index of Deprivation 2007 Report below and are illustrated in 8 sets of thematic maps of the County listed below, which show the distribution of deprivation at the Lower Super Output Level (LSOA) for the overall Index and the seven constituent domains. In addition the two complementary indices - measuring: Income deprivation affecting children (IDACI) and Income deprivation affecting older people (IDAOPI) - are also mapped.
The changes over time for the 10 measures are also illustrated by maps showing the LSOA additions and deletions over 2002-2005 to the list of deprived LSOAs.
