Real Nappies
Real Nappy Week 2008
Durham County Council and the Durham District / Borough Councils are working in partnership with local business to promote the use of real nappies. Real Nappy Awareness Week is 21 to 27 April 2008.
Why use Real Nappies?
The Durham local authorities are commited to waste reduction, therefore we are encouraging parents to consider using cotton nappies to help reduce the amount of waste disposed of in landfill sites. By using real nappies you are helping the environment. Disposable nappies are a one-use item for which no recycling facility currently exists in the UK Putting them in your wheeled bin is no solution. In Britain we dispose of 8 million nappies every day!. By using cloth nappies no nappy waste will be sent to landfill.Real Nappy Contacts
