Proposed Traffic Calming, West Street, Blackhall Colliery

In the interests of public safety County Councillor Alan Cox is promoting a scheme to introduce traffic calming cushions and lining works at the above location.

The scheme comprises six single length cushions, each one being 5.6m long, 1.5m wide and 75mm high, together with appropriate advanced warning signs. The aim of the scheme is to maintain low traffic speeds, and generally promote road safety.

The period of informal consultation regarding the above proposals has now ended and as a result of the responses received the proposals may be presented to a meeting of the Highways Committee.
