Street Furniture

We are responsible for Highway Furniture such as:
  • Traffic signal poles
  • Street lighting columns
  • Direction signs and posts
  • Pedestrian crossings, Pelicans, Toucan crossings,
  • Bollards
  • Pedestrian guardrails
  • Safety fences (now known as Road Restraint Systems)
Planters may be used in the Highway, subject to their location being sanctioned by us.

The District Councils are responsible for Street Furniture such as:

  • Dog litter bins
  • Seats
  • Street nameplate signs
  • Monuments
Some town and parish councils may also provide seats.
