Proposed No Waiting/Loading At Any Time - Waldridge Road Link Road

Following an incident in January 2007 where fire tenders answering an emergency call were unable to access streets adjacent to Waldridge Road due to parked vehicles on either side of the road, the Authority has received a request from County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue service requesting the introduction of No Waiting/Loading At Any Time restrictions on either side of the main access road linking all the streets to Waldridge Road.

The proposals would permit unrestricted access not only for emergency vehicles but also any vehicles servicing resident' propoerties.

The consultation process for the above proposals has now ended, and further details of the outcome of this process will apear on these pages as soon as the information becomes available.
