Penalty Charge Notice

If you contravene parking restrictions in Durham district, you may receive a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN). The amount of the Penalty Charge will depend on the level of contravention.

If you pay the penalty charge within 14 days it will be reduced by 50%

If no payment is received within 28 days of the PCN being served a Notice to Owner (NtO) is sent to the registered owner. If you have received a PCN by post it will act as the NtO, as such the rules relating to the NtO will apply.

If you have received a PCN, payment can be made in one of the following ways:

• By telephone, if you wish to pay by credit/debit card you can call the Parking Shop. Please have your card details, vehicle details, and PCN number ready.
• By post, sending payment with the completed payment slip to the Parking Shop.
• In person. Complete the payment slip and return it in person with your payment to the Parking Shop.
  

Please make cheques or postal orders payable to NCP Services Ltd and write the PCN number, vehicle registration number and your address on the reverse. Allow 2 working days for 1st class post and 5 for 2nd class. Do Nnot send cash by post. Post dated cheques will not be accepted.
