Pay an Excess Charge Notice (ECN) or Fixed Daily Charge Notice (FDC)
ECNs and FDCs are issued by National Car Parks (NCP) on our behalf. They are issued to:
- Vehicles parked within the Durham City Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) who have committed a parking contravention in either an on-street pay and display bay or £30 fixed daily charge area.
- The registered keeper of a vehicle who exits the Durham Road User Charge Zone during its hours of operation, but fails to pay the £2.00 charge either on exit or to the Parking Shop before 6.00pm on the day of use.
If you believe your ECN or FDC was issued incorrectly, you can make a representation.
NCP can not issue notices for any other parking contravention. If you have received a notice other than an ECN or FDC you should contact Durham Constabulary on 0845 6060365.
