Motorcycle Parking

Motorcyclists can park motorcycles on-street in a motorcycle bay without time limit and without charge.

Motorcycle bays may not be marked by a sign, just the painted lines on the road surface. A sign is not required in this type of bay.

Any motorcycle parked in any non-designated areas or on pavements may be issued with a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) if parked within Durham district or a Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN) if parked elsewhere in County Durham.
