Explorer North East

Almost all the bus services in County Durham are included in the Explorer North East Scheme which extends from the Scottish Border down to Ripon, Thirsk and Scarborough in the South and Carlisle in the West.

Explorer tickets which are available for one day (not before 9am Monday to Friday from Jan to May and Sept to Dec) can be bought on the bus, or in advance from bus company offices and cost £6.50 for adults, £5.50 for Senior Citizens and children under 14, and £13.00 for families (2 adults and up to 3 children).
