East Street, Blackhall Colliery - Proposed Traffic Calming

In the interests of public safety County Councillor Alan Cox is promoting a scheme to introduce traffic calming on East Street, Blackhall Colliery.

The scheme comprises seven single length speed humps, each hump being 5.6m long x 1.5m wide x 60mm high, together with the appropriate advance warning signs. The aim of the scheme is to maintain lower trafic speeds, and to generally promote road safety. The construction of these humps will not prohibit parking outside of the affected properties.

The closing date for comments on the above scheme has now passed and further details of the progress of the scheme will appear here as soon as possible.
