Cycle Maps
Cycle maps for different parts of the County have been produced under the Local Transport Plan. The maps include identification of circular, rural routes for recreational cycling as well as networks through and between town centres for utility trips (to work,shops, railway station etc.). The three maps available are:
- County Durham North - "Skirting the Cities, Routes to Roam"
- County Durham West - "Hills and Hollows - Trees and Trails"
- County Durham South - "Villages and Towns - Tracks without Trains"
The physical size of these maps when printed makes it inappropriate to publish them on the internet maps, but updates to specific sections will be provided on this page as and when developments to the cycle network take place. At present however no updates are available. The free maps can be ordered by contacting Pedal Power.
