A690 Durham Road/Unclassified 26.2 Wolsingham Road - Proposed Alteration To Speed Limit

Following a review of the speed limits on the Unclassified roads in Brancepeth Village in the context of the Department for Transport's guidance on setting speed limits and the current Speed Management Strategy, it is proposed to reduce the speed limit to 30mph on the section of Wolsingham Road and the Unnamed road at The Village leading to Brancepeth Castle. This proposed alteration to the speed limit will enable the entry to Brancepeth Village to be more defined and enhance the presence of the 30mph speed limit within the village.
