Welcome to Sam
Sam, the County’s safer, greener, fitter mascot is loved by children all over the area. After making his first appearance in 2005, Sam continues to tell children about his adventures on the journey to and from school through assemblies. Equipped with his very own cycle helmet, high visibility yellow tabard, school bag, and mobile phone, Sam makes regular visits to schools to promote events that encourage safer, greener and fitter travel. Sam has been very busy since his arrival, delivering assemblies, leading walking buses and promoting cycling activities.
