A Typical Day in the Nursery

• The children have a wide range of toys and equipment to play with.
• The playrooms are arranged in defined areas and everything is stored so that children can choose what they want to do. We encourage them to find what they want, use it and return it.
• Our family and training room is organised as a comfortable place for adults. We use it for a range of meetings and for activities for parents,
• Outside we have paved and grassy areas with fixed and moveable toys and equipment

Our Daily Routine

8.00am - Staff arrive and prepare
8.45am - Children arrive and are welcomed
9.00am - Breakfast and Planning
9.20am - Physical exercise (outdoor play)
9.40am - Children's choice of play
10.35am - Tidy up time
10.40am - Large group and story time
10.55am - Preparation for lunch and recall
11.05am - Lunch
11.35am - Parents and carers arrive to collect childen
11.45am - Staff do recordings and complete any work
12.15pm - Staff break
12.45pm - Afternoon children arrive. Snack and planning
1.05pm - Physical exercise (outdoor play)
1.25pm - Children's choice of play
2.25pm - Tidy up time
2.30pm - Large group and story time
2.45pm - Preparation for tea and recall
2.55pm - Tea time
3.15pm - Parents and carers arrive to collect children
3.30pm - Staff complete any work
4.00pm - Home time
