Stanfield House was built in 1957 and is located just off Stanley main street, close to local amenities and is within easy access to public transport.

Stanfield has undergone a programme of extensive refurbishment which included the installation of a lift to the upper and intermediate floors. The home stands in its own well kept grounds with garden seats. There are two small homely units within the residential area of the home, both with their own kitchens and dining/sitting rooms.

Accommodation is provided for 20 permanent residents and has 2 respite care places. There is a separate wing, The Louisa Wing, which is leased to the Health Authority with 12 nursing beds for mentally infirm residents.
