General Information

Shafto House was opened in 1963 and is located within walking distance of local amenities. There are three units: Balmoral, Sandringham and Windsor, each with its own dining room, kitchen and lounge. Visitors are welcome at all times and tea making facilities are available.

Professional services are available - dentist, optician, chiropodist, hairdresser and a library service with large-print books. A range of activities are arranged within the home: games nights, bingo sessions, activity mornings and outings, and reminiscence sessions are held in the home's own museum.

Shafto House caters for 31 residents and has facilities for one respite care bed.
