Care Charges

We set our care charges on an annual basis and we try to keep these as low as possible.

The Reason for Charging

The government assumes that all councils charge and reduces the amount of money it gives to us on this assumption. It is therefore essential that we charge to make sure that we can provide services to people that meet our eligibility criteria.

What Do We Charge For?

  • Residential and nursing care including respite care
  • Home care
  • Transport
  • Lunch in day care
  • Extra care
  • Supported living

The amount you pay depends upon your income, savings and capital. We wll discuss this further and in more detail with you at your assessment. Also find out about Direct Payments.
