Manor House was built in 1985 and is a purpose built complex unique within County Durham. The home is situated in Annfield Plain near Stanley and is very close to all local amenities.

The complex combines residential care, sheltered accommodation and day centre facilities. The residential home and day care are tastefully decorated with an emphasis on creating a homely environment. Manor House offers personalised care developed through small group living units each one having individual bedrooms and a comfortable lounge/dining room. The home is divided into three units, Louisa, Eden and Morrison. The Louisa Unit has 8 single rooms, the Eden Unit has 10 single rooms, the Morrison Unit has 8 single rooms.

There are many activities taking place within the complex and people living there are actively encouraged to take part in them and in the decision-making processes within the centre.

Manor House has a 20 place day centre attached as well as a Health Centre.
