General Information

East Green was built around 1974 and is a two story building with 41 bedrooms, small lounges and a visitors room. The large dining room overlooks a pleasant secluded garden which is used to hold events and activities for all residents. It is situated on the edge of the village green in West Auckland, central for shops, post office, church and pubs. A regular bus service runs into the market town of Bishop Auckland.

East Green caters for 39 people and has faciltities for two respite care people. This home has a unit for nine older people with mental illness where they are supported by specialist staff.
