Cheveley House was built in 1971 and is situated in its own grounds located within a housing estate. It is near the popular village of Belmont and is within two miles from Durham City. Staff are dedicated and committed to providing the best care in ideal surroundings.

The home caters for 40 residents and has facilities for four respite care beds. It is managed as two units, Gilesgate and Belmont. There is a sixteen place day centre attached and all lounges have colour TV, radio and video and a pleasant atmosphere gives a home from home feeling.
