Weather Problems and Road Closures

A weather warning of severe gales has been issued by the Met Office for Friday 19 December 2008.


The southwesterly wind will increase this afternoon and gusts to 55-65 miles per hour are expected to develop in many areas, especially over high ground, before the wind decreases again later this evening and overnight. The public are advised to take extra care and refer to the Highways Agency for further advice on traffic disruption on motorways and trunk roads.
