Training

The County Council's Road Safety Section provides road safety training in many areas. We provide training for;

• School Crossing Patrol Staff
• Teachers
• Nursery Nurses
• School Governors
• Road Safety Officers
• Police Officers
• Traffic Engineers
• Health Workers
• Driving Instructors
• Road Safety Professional Training is also provided through the Institute of Road Safety Officers (IRSO)

Road user training and awareness is also provided for:

• Car drivers - National Driver Improvement Scheme
• Older car drivers - Safer Driving with AGE scheme
• Pedestrians - Child Pedestrian Training Scheme
• Cyclists - Children and adults through the National Cycling Proficiency Scheme and the and the new 'Bikeability' national standard.
