The Register Office is situated in a terrace of Victorian houses in the heart of the town and is adjacent to free car parking. It has an impressive front entrance hall with the original tiled mosaic floor and etched glass in the side panels of the inner door.

The ceremony room easily seats 30 people and is tastefully decorated in dark blue and gold, with comfortably upholstered matching beech chairs, furniture and complementary prints. Silk floral displays serve to enhance the ceremony room and complete the overall setting.

There are grassed areas nearby and a small paved area at the entrance to the Register Office that is complemented with planters that provide an opportunity for photographs.

Marriage ceremonies are held between 9.30am and 3.30pm weekdays and 9.30am and 12.30pm Saturdays. Ceremony times are also available outside of these hours by prior arrangement for which an additional fee will apply.
