Registrars Certificates Online

In addition to the annual indexes itemised for each Registration District we have embarked on an ambitious new project to computerise all our records in order to help with the vast number of genealogy queries we receive. The searchable databases are updated regularly by the ICT services at County Hall.

These records can be searched by year, forename and surname. The result provides a reference number; by clicking on this reference number you can access a printable application form that may be used to apply for the actual certificate. This form automatically contains the correct reference number to enable us to locate the original entry

Marriages

The indexing project for marriages in respect of all registers held within the Registration Service from 1837 to date is now complete.

Please note that the information does not include the current Registers for individual churches due to their continued use. The records from these Registers will be added as and when the completed Register is deposited with the Registration District. Information concerning entries in current register's need to be directed to the relevant Church.

Records prior to the date of the first entry in each Register are contained in ancient Parish Registers details of which are available from the County Record Office.
