People Strategy 2007 - 2012
It is the people we employ who provide services, drive improvement and deliver quality to the community in County Durham. Unless we seek improvement in what they do through empowerment, involvement, appraisal, development, training and performance then we will not achieve the priority outcomes expected by the people of Durham. This People Strategy aims to create a culture that provides the people who work for Durham County Council the right environment to succeed, so that we will remain one of the high performing council's in the country over the next five years.
