County Durham Tourism Strategy

The previous County Durham Tourism Strategy expired in 2001 and since then many changes have occurred at national and regional levels to the tourism operational environment. In light of these changes and an increased emphasis on tourism at a county level, the County Durham Economic Partnership (supported by the County Cultural Partnership, local authorities, One NorthEast, the tourist trade and others) has developed an ambitious and coordinated strategy for tourism development.
