Building-In Sustainability

The 'Building-In Sustainability' website is based on a paper document know as the 'Building-In Sustainability Guide', which has been written for everyone involved in the development and planning process in the North East.

The website allows you to:

• Read the whole Guide online, following the development process from start to finish, or
• Go directly to the section dealing with the part of the development process, or key topic area that interests you most; or
• Dip in to check the key principles of Sustainable Development listed as 'Rules of Thumb' within each chapter.

The site also provided 'Key References', 'Contacts' and 'Further Reading' listed under 'Sources of Info'.

Developers and those working in a sustainable manner are invited to 'Submit a Case Study' which can be published on the website, to enable us to share 'Best Practice' approaches.
