Bishop Auckland Town Hall is a multi-purpose cultural venue situated in the heart of the market town, Bishop Auckland.
The building itself dates back to 1862 but once inside this historic building you enter a diverse and thriving environment with art exhibitions, theatre performances, live music events, films and concerts. There are workshops in creative writing, printing and for children. Local societies and groups meet for talks, activities and dance.
Rooms can be hired for anything from small meetings to wedding receptions with inhouse catering for 200.
A full range of souvenirs as well as information about local attractions is provided by The Tourist Information Centre.
In addition the Hutchinson Library offers a wide range of facilities including free internet access and local and family history resources.
