Volume 2 Issue 8

A support project for families with young children under the age of 8. Family Link acknowledges that many families do not have the confidence, skills and assertiveness to make best use of services available to them in the community.

Volunteers, whose role is to offer encouragement to the family, without the authority of professional control, support families to enable them to benefit from existing services. It is not an alternative to professional services. The family link schemes are projects of Children NorthEast who also work with children and families in other ways.
